Eligibility Criteria:

Following are the minimum requirements for admission to Medical / Dental PG Degree and Diploma courses:
The candidate should have studied and passed the courses leading to the award of MBBS/BDS Degrees in colleges recognized by Medical Council/Dental Council of India
The candidate should have completed or is completing compulsory rotating internship on or before 30th Apr 2014
As per the regulations of statutory bodies, as laid out in Post - Graduate Regulation 2000 of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test for eligibility for admission to Post - Graduate courses shall be 50% for all candidates and 40% for SC/ST & OBC category as per Govt. of Karnataka regulations
MCI/DCI Norms Medical and Dental PG Degree and Diploma courses:
Every student, selected for admission to the Post - Graduate Medical/Dental courses in any of the medical institutions in the country, shall possess recognized MBBS/BDS degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent Registration from the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India, or any of the State Medical/Dental Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of the admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled
Entrance Test Scheme:
The SSAHE-AIPGET-2014 will consist of one question paper of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) of “single most appropriate answer” type. There will be separate question papers for Medical & Dental courses. The questions will be based on the MCI/DCI prescribed syllabus for MBBS/BDS courses
Conduct of Entrance Test:
Date of Entrance Test: 18th Jan 2014 (Saturday, 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.)
Exam Centers: Bangalore, Tumkur
Duration, Question Paper & Answer Sheets:
The entrance test will be conducted in English; the duration of test will be 180 minutes; there will be one question paper (booklet) consisting of 200 multiple choice questions
Questions will be multiple choice types, each having one correct response out of four options
Answer sheet is of “Optical Mark Reader” (OMR) type and is required to be marked using only black ball point pen; each question carries one mark. Correct answer will be awarded -one mark. There will be no Negative Marking. Candidates are instructed to read the instructions printed on OMR sheet before start answering
Merit List: The minimum for eligibility criteria in the AIPGET is 50% marks for general merit candidates and 40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories as per Govt. of Karnataka regulations
Merit lists in both Medical and Dental faculties are prepared separately on the basis of marks obtained in entrance test. In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the test, the Marks obtained in III Phase MBBS / IV Yr BDS will be considered for deciding ranking, further ties in the test scores, if any, will be resolved based on the following, in order
Total aggregate percentage scored in the MBBS/BDS exams. Number of additional attempts during the course of study, i.e. MBBS/BDS
The age of the candidate, (the elder candidate is ranked higher than the younger candidate)
In case of tie in all of the above situations, selection will be through draw of lots

How to Apply:

The brochure along with the application form (on-line and offline) is available in the University websitewww.sahetumkur.ac.in
The candidate desirous of appearing in the SSAHE-AIPGET-2014 is required to complete the prescribed on-line application form & submit the same to the University on-line, on or before the scheduled date 26th Dec 2013
Further the candidate shall take the printout of the application form and submit along with all enclosures mentioned in the brochure so as to reach the university on or before 02nd Jan 2014
After scrutinizing the application forms the test admission tickets will be generated and dispatched to candidates taking test as per schedule
The test is scheduled on 18th Jan 2014 (Saturday) b/w 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. at the centers indicated. The mode of conducting test is explained in the later paragraph. After the evaluation, the merit list of eligible candidates will be announced on the university website
The counseling date for selection of seats and admission will be notified on the web soon after. The candidates are informed to observe the university website regularly
Enclosures with the Application Form:
Certificates: Attested copies (not original) of the following certificates are to be attached along with the application form
10th std/SSLC Marks Card (for date of birth proof and parent’s name); MBBS/BDS Marks Card of all Phases/Years; Degree Certificate/Provisional degree certificate; Internship completion certificate; Attempt Certificate; State council registration certificate; MCI/DCI Screening Certificate (for Abroad students); Students Study Certificate; Caste certificate issued by competent authority for the candidates claiming lower eligibility criteria under SC/ST and OBC category as per Govt. of Karnataka regulations
Other Enclosures:
Demand Draft for Rs.3500/- drawn in favour of “The Registrar, SSAHE” Tumkur payable at Tumkur-572107, Karnataka State (Mention your full name on the back of demand draft) as registration fee (Non- refundable)
Four (04) identical recent (taken within one month) colored matt finish, Passport size Photographs with light background are required. Polaroid photographs are NOT acceptable. Photograph must be taken with name of candidate (as in application) and date of taking Photograph as shown below, other wise the application of the candidate will be rejected
Submission of Application Form:
The candidate will not become eligible for attending the entrance test only by On-line/Offline registration. The candidate must ensure that print out of downloaded application along with all enclosures mentioned in the brochure (1.7) reaches the office of the Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education on or before02nd Jan 2014 at 05.00 p.m.
They may be submitted in person, by Speed Post/Courier to the following address “The Registrar Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education Agalakote B.H. Road, Tumkur-572107” Karnataka
University is not responsible for any postal delay or loss. The applications without copies of certificates duly attested and incomplete applications will be rejected. There by the candidate loses his chance to take entrance test
Note: A copy of the On-line registration/Offline application form along with the prescribed fees and also other enclosures mentioned in the brochure have to be submitted to the University on or before 02nd Jan 2014
